Event Description

Easthampton City Arts+ Gallery exhibits 10,000 Things: New Paintings by Matthew Best from October 7- 29, 2013. An opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 12, from 5 – 8 pm in conjunction with Art Walk Easthampton.

Matthew Best’s abstract paintings exude an explosion of color and pattern. The process of layering is evident in his paintings through gradations of opacity and translucency. His developed shapes formed by his process of adding and removing create a sensory push and pull to the viewer’s eye. Works exhibited in “10,000 Things” were made by Best in the past year.
