Rub Wrongways Records presents a tour of family-style servings of music.
A roving group of outcasts? A traveling circus of prophets? An in-the-round songfest? A full-on multi-band rock show? An unplugged intimate group effort? You never know exactly what or who you are going to get when the Rub Wrongways Caravan of Stars pulls into your town. But, rest assured, you'll get something.
Rub Wrongways is more than just a record label, it is a collaborative group of songwriters, musicians, and singers who all work together in an effort to make the most of their music. It is a small family of artists who support each other's songwriting. This results in a lot of people-sharing. Sometimes the difference between two bands is only the songwriter/voice of the group. The musicians of this versatile cooperative are able to mold their perfromance style to best suit that of each songwriter's vision.
Occasionally, the Rub Wrongways gang will perform as a single unit. Six or so musicians will all play together supporting each other's songs. The group of six will play the music of four different bands with each band's lead singer taking the microphone. Usually, the songs presented are from School for the Dead, The Fawns, Bourgeois Heroes, and Sitting Next To Brian.
The super group major players are: Brian Marchese, Henning Ohlenbusch, Jason Bourgeois, Lesa Bezo, Max Germer, and Ryan Quinn.
