Event Description

Helena Dooley works with paint, glitter, text and mixed-media to create colorful, wry, unconventional art. This April she’ll be showing pieces for her Ducky series as well as reverse-paintings on glass. Dooley is also exhibiting an ongoing series of drawings in which she explores synesthesia.
Marianne Connolly is a photographer who alters and reconstructs her images through weaving and collage. Her current work employs close, textural photography from the North Shore of Boston. Connolly has also created a series of work from Helena Dooley’s paintings. After photographing Dooley’s paintings, Connolly cut and collaged to make a group of collaborative pieces.
