Robert Markey wants his paintings “to be profound, to be questioning and to be a source of inspiration and of beauty…[to speak] about hope, about humor and about the human condition: what it is and what it could be”. He builds a surface rich with color and texture as he engages in an improvisational dialogue with the canvas.
