Beginning with Northampton's Arts Night Out this Friday night, the imagine ART Gallery is well-pleased to host 32 works of retired psychotherapist turned painter, Linn Bower. Her exhibit will feature medium-sized and small still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. Many of her paintings have an old-world feel to them reflecting what she terms "influences of the Old Masters." In her bio she wrote that she views painting as "a natural extension of analytic work: there is light and dark in the human soul, or there is light and shadow in works of art." She is an explorer "awakening to the process which appears to constantly change, frustrate, throw me into despair and doubt, yet still brings unexpected wonder." She sees painting as a gift and a passion.
