Event Description

Learn the basics of crochet. No experience necessary. Limited materials provided (extra crochet hooks/scrap yarn). Bring crochet hooks and/or yarn if available.
This workshop will focus on beginning crochet. We will learn how to make a foundation chain and several basic stitches. These skills will be used to create a square unit, also known as a "Granny Square". This unit can be repeated to create larger forms for functional (pot holders, scarves, vests, blankets) and sculptural works. Illustrated directions will be provided.
