In a talk based on his recent book Conspiracy Theory in Film, Television, and Politics, author Gordon B. Arnold traces conspiracy themes in popular culture over six turbulent decades of recent American history. Beginning with the Cold War and extending into the era of 9/11, this lively discussion will show how Hollywood has tapped into real-world fears, anxieties, and skepticism. The result has been a barrage of movies and television series that have captured the American imagination.
