The Northampton exhibition of “Cycle”, an Interactive Documentary Project by artist Dani Slaubaugh, takes place in Northampton from April 25th through April 27th.
Slabaugh’s installation is a series of videos and audio recordings by local bicycle commuters and writing by community members about their personal experience of environmental justice. The events begin on Saturday April 25th in Pulaski Park from 11-3pm where the public is invited to contribute their own stories and experiences to this collective documentary. Slabaugh will be present to answer questions and The Pedal People will offer free bike tune-ups.
Join the artist for a potluck and open community dialogue about environmental justice in the old Dynamite Records Space on the lower level of Thornes Marketplace from 6-9pm. Bring a dish to pass, your own plate, cup & silverware, and a smile. The installation will be on view in the same space April 26th 11am-1pm & 5-8pm & 27th 11am-1pm & 5-6pm
Space for this project is made possible by storefrontART a program of Commonwealth Center for Change in partnership with Thornes Marketplace. For more information contact Julia at julia@commonwealthcenter.org or 413.522.1319.
