Double Edge's unique program for interns is an immersion in the creative process, where the artist, whether emerging or professional, delves deeply into training, research, individual and ensemble creation, and understanding of the self. Residing at the Farm- Double Edge's rural/international Center - for 3 months, interns explore the company's nearly 30 year-old original methodology while researching their own practice and sensibilities. The program is suitable for actors, directors, designers, playwrights, and multi-disciplinary artists.

Work is founded in rigorous physical training, extending to work with large objects, design, dramaturgy, vocal and instrumental music, and improvisation. In addition, interns participate in production, tech, gardening, building, outreach, and administration.

The internship also includes "Encounters with Artists", organized in conjunction with Double Edge's Conversations Project convened with Philp Arnoult, where interns meet and work with visiting artists and thinkers from around the world at our theatre center as well as on expeditions off the Farm. Past encounters have included: Philip Arnoult, Jarek Fret (Poland), Anne Bogart, Gennady Abramov (Russia), Jicara Teatro (Argentina), among many others.
