Art show and Opening at the Burnett Gallery, Jones Library Amherst Ma. September 6th @ 5pm. The show is a combination of fine crafted ceramics and paintings by local artist Tomas Black and Bjorn Muten. Both artists make works which are fine crafted with high attention to color, detail and form, their works are about their surrounding worlds and environments which they live and work within. Tomas and Bjorn grew up in the Amherst area, both leaving to attend art schools, Tomas Alfred University and Bjorn RISD. Upon receiving their BFA's both moved back to the Valley to begin their curers in the arts. Tomas Black own The New Green Gates Pottery in Leverett. While Bjorn Muten works as an artist for Trader Joe's and does paintings out of his Hadley studio.  Everyone is welcome to attend the opening on September 6th and the show will run until September 29th. Admission is free.
