The second season of regular comedy in Northampton goes out with a bang as Funny Fridays delivers 90-minutes of guaranteed laughter and original entertainment featuring three sure-fire comedy acts.
Opening the show will be celebrated stand-up comedian Maria Ciampa. Maria was the June 2007 Comic-in-Residence at the Comedy Studio in Harvard Square, and a Mainstage cast member of Improv Asylum from 2005-2006. Recently, Ms. Ciampa co-organized the wildly successful, first annual Women in Comedy Festival in Boston.
Appearing for their first time in the Valley, ImprpovBoston's Plan B will be performing the most famous of long-form improvisation structures, The Harold! Six actors will take the stage and create three separate story lines that become more and more entwined each time we revisit them. PLAN B is sure to earn an A+.
The finale of the finale will be comic collision of The Ha-Ha Sisterdood and the Villa Jidiots to create a powerhouse of local improv comedy called The Ha-Ha Jidiots. Christine Cronin, Julie Waggoner, and Connie Casagrande represent the “Jidiots” while Pam Victor, Laura Patrick, Moe McElligott and Christine Stevens contribute the “Sisterhood” to the stage. With this much comedy talent coming together, audiences are sure to be blasted with a supernova of improvised hysteria. These talented performers delight in this rare opportunity to play together on stage. No doubt their personal excitement will bring high voltage to an already electric night of comedy.
These shows are rated PG-13.
