Why order pizza when you can get big city comedy delivered right to the heart of the Valley courtesy of FUNNY FRIDAYS?! The line up on May 8th features not one but two nationally acclaimed improv comedy acts. IMPROVBOSTON’S MAINSTAGE SHOW and, hot off their appearance at the Chicago Improv Festival, THREE HOLE PUNCH will deliver the laughter to Northampton Center for the Arts on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 8:00pm. “The beauty of Funny Fridays,” extols organizer Pam Victor, “is that we get to enjoy the best comedy in the state without leaving our hometown.”
THREE HOLE PUNCH is four women who have been improvising together for over seven years since they met as students at UMass Amherst. Since then, they have trained with professionals in Boston, New York and Chicago. All four of them are currently members of Company and Mainstage casts at ImprovBoston and Improv Asylum. Three Hole Punch performed at the Del Close Marathon in New York City, the Chicago Improv Festival, and has been a featured weekly showcase at ImprovBoston. The show is a fast-paced weaving of four improvised storylines with a focus on unique and dynamic characters that are always unexpected and supremely entertaining. Featuring Liz Caradonna, Shannon Connolly, Steph Jones, and Michelle Whitaker. Directed by Scott Braidman.
IMPROVBOSTON’S MAINSTAGE SHOW delivers dependable delight from the best of the best of ImprovBoston. These talented thespians perform a fantabulous blend of improvised scene work, games and guffaws with a rare gift for the craft. Come watch the magic unfold before your eyes!
This show is rated PG-13.
