Final exhibit and sale of more than 40 paintings by late artist Greta Carey. A wide variety of landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, and local scenes on view and available for immediate purchase. Arrive early for best selection. This sale follows silent and live auctions of a separate group of paintings at Meekins Library and concludes Williamsburg’s celebration of Greta Carey Month. All proceeds benefit the Williamsburg Libraries, Grange, and Historical Society.

Greta Carey (1910-2004) touched many lives through her art and teaching over the course of her long career. In addition to inspiring students in painting and rug hooking at the Hill Institute in Florence, MA, for nearly three decades, she was president of the Williamsburg Brush & Palette Club, a member of the Deerfield Valley Art Association, and an exhibiting artist whose works hang in many local homes and institutions. Her murals of historical scenes, commissioned by a former owner of Brewmaster's Tavern in Williamsburg and recently reinstalled in the restaurant, won the Grumbacher Award.
All events and sales are organized by the Greta Carey Project committee and made possible by the generosity of Greta's daughter, Willo Carey, and our wonderful business sponsors.
Don't miss this final opportunity to share in the legacy of a remarkable artist and own a beautiful piece of local history!
