October 1 Review of Applications

The Oxbow Gallery is accepting applications for membership.  We have four open membership positions.  We are accepting two types of membership:  Individual and Partnered Memberships

During a three year period each member or set of partners has a show in the large front gallery and a show in the back gallery.  Members and partnered members are also included in two group shows every year.  All proceeds from sales go to the artist/member.  Dues are $850 per member or per partnered membership.  Members are expected to participate in monthly meetings and Group Shows.

Our new Partnered Membership category allows two people to apply together and split one membership.  If you are applying for a partnered membership, then choose a fellow artist that you would like to show with.  You will split your individual shows with your partner or you may alternate shows.  You are both welcome in group shows and will receive all publicity benefits.  Please submit your required materials together for review. 

Requirements for Application

1.  Contact Information (printed out)

2.  5 images of your work on a CD – images should be at 150 dpi and no dimension should exceed 1024 pixels or 10 inches. (5 images per partner)

3.  Annotated Image Sheet (printed out)—This sheet lists information about the images on your CD in the order that they appear.  It states the artist’s name, the title of each work, its size, its media and the date of completion.

4.  A resume and an artist’s statement (per partner) stating reasons for interest in the gallery and skills that you bring to help the gallery. (printed out)

5.  One or two pieces of real work.   

Please deliver all materials including the physical samples of your work to the Oxbow Gallery on Sunday, September 30

from 12-5 pm or on Monday, October 1, from 12-5 pm.
