When she works as an Artist-in-Residence in national parks, poet and pastel artist Rema Boscov emphasizes people's connections with places. In this Hosmer Gallery exhibit, Boscov celebrates her own connection with two places that are especially important to her here in the valley: Ruggles Pond, in Wendell State Forest, and the Food Bank Farm. She accompanies her pastel paintings with a Japanese poetic form, haibun, a combination of prose and haiku, traditionally used for walks in nature.
Boscov will hold a "near to closing" reception on August 26, at which she will read from her recently published book of poems, Detour.
