Event Description

This series of paintings by Ashfield Artist, Peggy Grose, consists of six modernist, hilltown landscapes. These began as plein air paintings in casein on rice paper/masonite and were subsequently taken into the studio and more formally constructed with layers of cutouts.

The environments Peggy paints have a musical quality to them. Vibrations seem to eminate from plants and trees. Rolling hills and brooks dance with cadence. Her work is highly stylized and identifiable in several New England galleries and private collections.

A selection of hand-painted furniture will also be on exhibit.
