Event Description

Peter Blanchette returns for the farewell installment of a popular Pioneer Valley tradition, his annual recital of music in celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach at the Center for the Arts. The evening includes opening remarks by WFCR’s John Montanari. A highlight this year is selections from The Well-Tempered Clavier on two archguitars when Blanchette is joined by San Francisco-based archguitar virtuoso Elliot Gibbons. Blanchette also releases Meseta, an album of audience favorites from Spain. Recorded during last summer’s tour, the new CD features courtly Spanish music, Barrios, and Bach.
