Event Description

Discover the difference between reading with children and reading to children. This session will begin with a chance for participants to observe storytime at The Carle to see the Whole Book Approach in action. Afterwards, participants will discuss their observations and learn how to evaluate the picture book as an art form and to use this critical engagement as a platform for leading interactive picture book reading experiences with their students.
