The Tarot has been used for recreation, divination
and more recently for psychological healing.
With its rich visual history, the Tarot speaks to us through cycles that connect the intricacies of our emotional, physical, and spiritual lives.
Join visual artist and dancer Sugati Phillips and
artist and art therapist Heather Cohen in a four-week series of workshops using movement, visual art, writing, and meditation as a means of helping us explore our relationship to the archetypal images presented within the Tarot. Live music will be coordinated by Chris Phillips.
Each participant will have the opportunity to explore their individual path through the imagery and wisdom of this creative and wise from of divination. There is no prior dance or visual art experience necessary, please wear comfortable clothes and you are welcome to bring something small and meaningful for our group altar.
This 4 session workshop series takes place on
Saturdays 10am-12pm, starting May 21, 2011 and ending Saturday June 11, 2011
The workshops will be held at Living Altars Studio #325 in the Paragon Arts & Industry Building, 150 Pleasant St., Easthampton. Sign up for the whole series for a sliding scale of $90-$120 or pay individually for each session for a sliding scale of $25-$35.
