Event Description

With popular jazz duo Jerry Noble and Bob Sparkman. The concert will focus almost exclusively on the beloved songs of Indiana’s favorite son, Hoagland Howard “Hoagy” Carmichael including such gems as Two Sleepy People, New Orleans, Ol’ Rockin’ Chair’s Got Me, Can’t Get Indiana Off My Mind, haunting ballads like Blue Orchids and the rarity Winter Moon, and more playful songs such as Lazybones and Small Fry. Also featured are Skylark, Stardust, Heart and Soul and of course, the song from which the concert takes its title, The Nearness of You. Free.
