Event Description

Over the last three months artist Jane Beatrice Wegscheider and I invited people to share stories about their connection to the Deerfield River, the impact of Tropical Storm Irene, and other bodies of water they care about. Over 75 stories, poems, and reflections have been transferred onto bottles, jars, and jugs of river water, giving voice to our community’s grief and resilience.We installed six sites by the river on 8.28.12 at sunrise (the one year anniversary). The installations will be up until 9.4.12 at sunset...if the town will let us. The bottles are BEAUTIFUL! The stories, poems, reflections are poignant, loving, painful, sweet.
