Three writers explore the histories of three very different houses.
lê thi diem thúy, performance artist and author of the novel The Gangster We Are All Looking For, will be reading new work inspired by her relationship with an eighteenth century house.
Tzivia Gover is the author of Learning in Mrs. Towne's House (Levellers Press), which is about her work teaching poetry to teen mothers at The Care Center in Holyoke. She is still learning from her students and from Elizabeth Towne, the house’s former owner, whose spirit infuses the classrooms.
Lu Stone, a Northampton writer and editor, is the author of A House. A Street. A City. The Story of 17 Summer.
