Event Description

The Center for the Arts is excited to hold a retrospective show in the West Gallery by the long-time Daily Hampshire Gazette photojournalist, Gordon Daniels. Photographs by Daniels will be on display at the Center from January 13 to January 27 2012. The public is invited to an Arts Night Out Reception on Friday, January 13 from 5 to 7PM.

Daniels, a Hatfield resident and a native of the area, is an award-winning photographer. For more than 40 years Daniels has captured images of daily life including news events and people. Gazette publisher, Jim Foudy, describes Daniels as more than just your typical news photographer. Daniels is instead an individual with an amazing artistic eye who sees things "that many people would drive by." This show samples some of Daniel's iconic images of life in the Pioneer Valley.

Regular Gallery hours are 11-4PM, Tuesday-Friday.
