The Loft Parlor is holding its first annual Undergraduate Artist Invitational Exhibition in partnership with studio art faculty from the 5-Colleges. Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mt. Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst will all be represented by the top student artists in their studio arts programs. The Loft Parlor seeks to support the growth of these developing artists by providing an opportunity beyond the borders of these academic institutions to engage with the most vibrant and prominent arts community in the valley, Easthampton. We seek to showcase new and contemporary work while creating a space for crosspollination between the 5- College art departments. The exhibition will be on view from June 3 through June 25, 2014. Artists’ Reception will be held during Easthampton’s Second Saturday Art Walk, June 14, 2014, 5pm – 8pm.

Participating artists are: Benjamin Mendez, Caitlin Halloran, Candy Gonzalez, Charlotte Kohlmann, Cherry Kim, Daniel Stofira, Erica Marksteiner, Finley Janes, Fiza Khatri, Gabby Rosenberg, Kieran Ryan, Liz Honorato, Michael Dominianni, Michael Moore, Ruth Kace, Sophia Miller, Stephanie Garland, Tsholo Thekiso, and Will Rhodes.

The Loft Parlor is a contemporary gallery in the heart of Easthampton's Mill District. The Loft Parlor specializes in the exhibition of 2 dimensional work. We are located on the third floor of a renovated textile mill with spacious walls for work ranging from big and bold, wall installation or small works on paper. The Loft Parlor strives to give exhibition opportunity to the next generation of artists affording them the experience of professional presentation.
