“Upcycle It!” a series of transformed and upcycled 2012 Bear Fest merchandise, will be exhibited at the ECA+ Gallery from July 13 to July  28.  An opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. as part of Art Walk Easthampton. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

“Upcycle It!” will exhibit work by over 15 artists who have made use of left over merchandise from last year’s Bear Fest. Artists used a large range of material, including t-shirts, bear sculptures, and banners, to create an even wider range of pieces, including fashion, sculpture, and home décor. ECA+ coordinator Burns Maxey explains “’Upcycle It!’ gives artists the opportunity to make something new from our remainder Bear Fest merchandise, combining the creatively minded and environmentally conscious.”

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The ECA+ gallery is located at 43 Main Street, Easthampton, MA.  The gallery will have limited hours the week of 15 – 20.
