Northampton Community Television is dedicated to promoting arts and culture in Northampton and the surrounding community and are looking to produce a series of short videos highlighting local artists and performers.
We are also looking for individuals interested in posting to Paradise City Press, our new Citizen Journalism website that focuses on fostering hyper-local community media, journalism and storytelling.
At NCTV, we strive to produce professional quality content that is freely available over multiple platforms. Short, 3-5 minute videos would be produced free of charge by NCTV interns with the supervision of our staff, and would be featured on our television station as well as available online via our video on demand outlets (Watch a sample video here: Ex. 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9ffYUl_rjA Ex.2: http://youtu.be/G1bnjbHfKvA). The goal of the series is to educate interns and members in video production while simultaneously supporting local art and business. We are currently taking reservations for scheduling production times Tuesdays between 12-3 PM for the duration of the summer. Please note that videos will be produced on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we cannot guarantee coverage for all those who respond. To schedule a production time, please call 413 587 3550 or email me jwhalen@northamptontv.org
We are also looking for artists who are interested in posting work to our Citizen Journalism website Paradise City Press. Paradise City Press is a new website created by NCTV to provide a platform for promote news, events, art and culture in the area.
Constantly updating personal blogs and websites can be a daunting task. Posting to Paradise City Press will provide individuals with a larger audience for their posts, while also allowing posters more leeway in the frequency of their posts. Paradise City Press' strong search engine optimization techniques will allow individuals better visibility in search engines as well.
