Event Description

Forbes Library presents a free vibraphone concert by Jeannette Muzima.

A self-taught percussionist, she founded and led the all women’s jazz quintet, BOUGAINVILLEA, which flourished for 18 years, playing clubs (The Iron Horse was on their circuit!) concerts, tours and music festivals including the Michigan Women’s Music Festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Muzima will play a varied program including jazz standards and original compositions.
