These five weekly sessions are designed for Children, ages 8-12, who are interested in art will learn about using watercolor on both textured and smooth paper. Many different techniques will be taught as well as expression with color and composition. $120 plus materials including a set of student-grade watercolors (at least 6 colors) such as Winsor Newton Cotman, Grumbacher Academy, Maries, Sakura. Brushes: 1" to 1 1/2" flat soft brush, rounds: #4, 8, 12. Paper: biggest pad available of Strathmore or Canson, board (to hold paper taped down), masking tape. Liquid mask, rubber cement pick up, pencil, white vinyl eraser, plastic container for water, rag, hair dryer, thin point black permanent marker.
