Event Description

Emily Bradford received her BA in fine arts with a concentration in painting while living in Baltimore, MD. Oil paint was her medium of choice until she began experimenting with watercolor about nine years ago. "The process of painting in watercolor was very unforgiving but liberating at the same time, and it allowed me to approach my subject in a completely different manner," says Emily. "In certain ways my subject matter mimics the many soft and delicate qualities that exist in this medium, but an underlying darkness or mystery seems to exist within the images and this is an element that I never want to stop exploring in my work."
