To submit a project proposal
1. Become a Member
See Become a Member to sign up for the mutual aid grant system.
2. Join the Current Mutual Aid Grant Cycle
After making a contribution to the collective fund you will be invited to join the current grant cycle. See Become a Member for details.
4. Submit Your Proposal
- Click 'add a project proposal' on the current grant cycle
- Title your project
- Write a little ditty: start with a brief description and then add details below that.
- Embed images, links to other websites, and other things to help make your proposal clear, to the point and interesting. Check out past proposals for an idea of how to structure yours.
- Hoosh your profile, ya know, make it real nice. Upload images of past work, spruce up your bio and statement, use it as a platform to introduce yourself and your work
5. Tell your friends
Let them know about your project, point them to other things people are proposing and invite them to join. The more people who sign onto a grant round the larger the collective fund will be.
Do your friends live outside of the Pioneer Valley but still want to support the collective fund? Non Valley Art Share members are welcome to contribute to the collective fund, but will not be allowed to submit project proposals or vote in the selection process. Contributions from non-members can be made here.
6. Review and Select
This step isn't required to make a proposal for a mutual aid micro grant but it sure is nice. Everyone who participates in the grant cycle gets to vote on which project they think should receive the grant by rating each proposal through an anonymous platform. Learn more under How it Works.
