Artist Statement/Bio

I am self "taught" being influenced at an an early age by an uncle who had an art school in Lenox. He was a student of Brackman amoung others. The school was in an old barn on Rt 7 and classes were held all summer long. The paintings hanging on the walls, the easels, tubes of paint, raw paint on brushes, the smell of oils. turp and old wood, the models and still lifes and the different visions put down on canvas were an insperation. I enjoy looking at and absorbing many different artists and styles with a favorite being Edward Hopper.
