Artist Statement/Bio

I've lived in the Valley for about five years. I am an AmeriCorps member working with teens in Franklin County. I am organizing an art show for teens in Orange/ Athol to take place this Spring.

I have been writing stories and poems since I learned how to write. When I was about 8-years-old I filled a journal with the story of a dog named Sammy and her very large family. At the moment I'm not writing as much as I would like to, but I am starting a creative writing workshop for youth where I work. Maybe that will motivate me a little more.

I take pictures of a lot of things, but I tend toward animals and food I make. I've never had any formal classes or training, but I'd like to learn more.
