Artist Statement/Bio

*Chiron [Kī - ren], from Greek mythology, was the wisest of the centaurs. Known as ‘the great teacher’, he was responsible for the training of many of the Greek heroes, as well as the inventor of medicine and a master musician. His aim was to inspire his students to achieve greatness beyond his own, and to search for that which is missing in hopes of solving a problem.

The Chiron Chamber Orchestra, through the spirit of collaboration and the love of music, seeks to impassion and inspire audiences through the fusion of music with other facets of media, as well as with the experience of interactive performances. We seek to marry the many roles of music and the arts on an individual and societal level. Emphasizing the value of the universal aspect of music as well as its roots in human history, we hope to illuminate - through performance - the power of music and its purpose. Born out of friendship and a shared passion for music, The Chiron Chamber Orchestra invites you to join in our musical journey.
