Artist Statement/Bio

Claire was born in France, and lived in Paris until she was 7. Her family then moved to Hong Kong, a metropolitan city in which economic prosperity overrided any desire to protect the quickly degrading environment. Under this influence, Claire's work began to evoke the relationship between human activity and the natural environment.

Claire is now attending Hampshire College in Amherst MA.
