Artist Statement/Bio

Inés Arrubla – flamenco dancer, teacher, and choreographer

Inés Arrubla was trained in Flamenco in Spain, and later moved and performed in Amsterdam and Europe for fifteen years. Since coming to the United States in 1998, Arrubla established the Flamenco Dance Theater, and opened her own studio, The Flamenco Studio, which operates in Hadley, at the North Star School. Inés has staged major theater-dance productions, choreographed for Ballet and Opera companies, and taught in numerous schools, colleges, and dance academies. Shea is recognized for her high degree of skill in conducting residencies by the MCC’s Creative Teaching Partners roster.
