Artist Statement/Bio

I am a henna artist and painter.
Learning the art of henna took on it's own life when I learned about the deep traditions and practices of this ancient art. I love being able to help pass this blessing along as it re-evolves and redefines itself for yet another culture. Henna has also become my creative outlet while homeschool and raise my three daughters.

My true first love, however, is painting. Semi-large scale mix media abstracts with emphasis on layering and texture. When I have the time and space I love to work in encaustics.
