Artist Statement/Bio

I like drawing beautiful things in oil pastel and colored pencil. One of the most important things that people bring up is to ask me what medium I use. The methods I use by dumb luck work to create a very painterly piece such that I hate to call it a drawing...I think of it more as a painting and sometimes even as a sculpture as I scratch , scrape, and generally torture the bristol board , grind and blend colors , move the oil pastel and pencil around with knife blades and paper tortillons .
Anyway I am self taught and every day is a good day if I am at least inspired to draw.
