Artist Statement/Bio: I am an interdisciplinary artist working mainly in sculpture and installation. My work has been an investigation into representations of memory, discontentment in domesticity and psychoanalysis as well as depictions and ideas that can only be realized in installation art. My work is characterized by the use of everyday situations, narratives and objects in an atmosphere of domestic unrest and self-awareness. By looking at daily life as subject matter,I make work that deals with the documentation of life events and the question of how they can be presented through various media. At times my work expresses this through the use of narrative moments of self-reflection and analysis. My practice has been that of a drawn reflection upon the art of installation art itself: thoroughly self-referential, yet no less aesthetically pleasing, and therefore deeply inscribed in the history of the genre.
