Artist Statement/Bio

"My work focuses on the magnificence of women and children.  My inspiration is born of subtle beauties such as a soft expression on a face, the radiation of strength, or a quiet moment of contemplation.
I paint with oils in different layers to convey the vibration of light and to create a complex, multi-dimensional texture. For my mixed media pieces I incorporate materials that move me, such as sea glass from the beaches of old San Juan, gold/silver leaf, or abalone shells. The finished work is an experience for the viewer to enjoy."
