Women’s Voices Worldwide, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote social justice around the globe by educating women and girls to be powerful speakers in all areas of personal, academic, professional, and civic life.

Women’s Voices Worldwide, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote social justice around the globe by educating women and girls to be powerful speakers in all areas of personal, academic, professional, and civic life.

The organization provides individualized speaking mentoring and group classes for women and girls to learn to recognize the need for women's voices, to cultivate a conviction that their own voices matter, and to develop the skills to speak courageously and effectively. The organization also provides workshops, discussion groups, and other public events for communities to raise awareness and promote discussion about women and speech.
Studies show that women—due to cultural influences—are less likely than men to speak up in groups and more likely to be interrupted, challenged, or dismissed when they do. Paradoxically, when women do speak assertively they are often labeled negatively. This double standard, and the silencing of many women’s voices that results, is detrimental to the realization of vibrant, inclusive, and just societies.

We invite you to join us in our efforts to effect change—by meeting with a mentor for support with your own speaking project, by hiring us to lead a workshop for your organization, by attending an event, by making a donation, or simply by spreading the word about our important work.
