Artist Statement/Bio

i am interested in the juxtaposition of hand embroidery, stitching and rug hooking with the subject of modern, fast- paced life. we are always connected and moving so quickly, wanting information accessible in the blink of an eye. we also make ourselves vulnerable by allowing people to witness parts of our lives without even necessarily recognizing that this is happening. i am interested in what happens when we slow down, and, with intentionality, stop, if only for a moment.
