Artist Statement/Bio

In my work, I strive to create a complete aesthetic experience in which the viewer is transported to a new environment where s/he can think of the world in a new light. I place a collection of pieces such as sculptures, found objects and videos together in a space so that they interact with one another in a way which enhances the meaning and significance of each. My current body of work deals with issues of memory, childhood, power in personal relationships, gender, sexuality, loneliness and fear. I hope to portray these often dark themes with sweetness, subtlety and a touch of comedy.
