Artist Statement/Bio

stephen st. francis decky has been creating a perpetually evolving cast of characters on an ever-shifting landscape for many years. these characters are born in acrylic paintings, then brought into the real world as hand-sewn dolls. these dolls are then placed on sets and either filmed or photographed back into that other world.
