What is “Hilltown Families?”

HF is a nondenominational grassroots communications network which serves families Western Massachusetts (and beyond!), with a focus on families in the Hilltowns and Pioneer Valley.

HF is an avenue to create, connect and continue community through the common thread of our children as they begin their educational journey, serving all educational modalities.

HF affords socialization through a list of weekly suggested events, while offering families a grassroots forum to share and organize events and activities that supplement their children’s education.

HF welcomes writings that reflect the positive work and educational efforts activists, families, teachers, and artists work towards and accomplish and how that affects, supports and empowers our families.

HF moderates an email listserv for parents in Western Massachusetts, including the rural Hilltowns and Pioneer Valley, to communicate and facilitate discussions that relate to all issues of raising and educating our children, as well as sharing articles and information on these same issues.

HF offers a free newsfeed service providing emailed updates to subscribers.

HF airs a weekly family radio show, Hilltown Family Variety Show, every Saturday from 9-10am on WXOJ-LP, 103.3FM, Northampton, MA. HFVS can be heard live, through streaming audio or on podcast.
