Emuna is a dancer, teacher and choreographer based in western Massachusetts since 1992. She was a member of The Crescent Dancers, the Pioneer Valley’s premier Middle Eastern dance troupe, for eighteen years, and has performed with a number of other ensembles as well as solo work.
Emuna has danced in the The Really Big Show, Transperformance and Northampton’s First Night. With the Crescent Dancers, she has appeared at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts, the Northampton Center for the Arts, the Iron Horse, Cafe Lebanon, and Jacob’s Pillow. She has performed at Mutton & Mead Medieval Festival, the Academy of Music, and numerous festivals, schools, libraries, weddings, and special events of all kinds.
Trained as a musician, Emuna is valued for her finger cymbal playing and sensitivity to ethnic musical forms. She is known as an articulate, supportive and fun teacher who provides each student with the personalized attention she needs to develop her dance skills and maximize her own creativity and confidence.
